Terms of Service

What the service does

Resumu lets you write a resume in your browser, export it as PDF, DOCX or JSON, and — on a paid plan — save it to the cloud and publish it at a public path. Building and exporting are free and need no account.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything published under your account. One person per account. You must be at least 16 years old.

Plans, payment and cancellation

Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe on the interval you choose, and renew automatically until cancelled. Premium templates can also be bought once instead of subscribing; a one-time unlock does not expire.

Cancel at any time from the billing section of My Resumes. Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for; published pages come down when the plan ends. We do not pro-rate partial periods. If a payment fails we may suspend saving and publishing until it is resolved.

If prices change, existing subscribers keep their rate until the following renewal and will be told in advance.

Your content

Everything you write stays yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: storing your resume, rendering it into the formats you request, and — if you choose to publish — serving it publicly and allowing search engines to index it. That permission ends when you delete the content or unpublish the page.

What you must not do

• Impersonate another person or publish a resume of someone who has not agreed to it.
• Publish unlawful, misleading or infringing content, or use a published page to host unrelated material.
• Attempt to bypass plan limits, template locks or rate limits, or automate the service to a degree that degrades it for others.
• Resell or redistribute our templates as your own.

We may suspend or remove accounts and unpublish pages that break these rules, and we will tell you why where we can.

Availability

The service is provided as is, without any guarantee of uptime. We may change or discontinue features. If we make a material change or shut the service down, we will give notice and you will have time to export your data — which you can do yourself at any point as JSON.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost work, lost opportunities or indirect losses. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Keep your own copies of anything important. Export to JSON is free and always available.

Changes to these terms

We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. Continuing to use Resumu after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and disputes are subject to the courts of [JURISDICTION].
